Ivan Makvel is the owner and creator of the record label & Co-Creator of the duo Moon Riders. He is also a musician, singer, talkbox performer, music producer and mastering audio engineer.
He started his career in 2007, quickly becoming a popular name in the Street Dance and Modern Funk movement Worldwide, which led him to create his own record label in 2015.
His first solo album “Talkbox Bluesman” was released in 2014; he then released some of the most appreciated singles in the Modern Funk movement such as “We Love You Roger” dedicated to Roger Troutmann, “Blow Your Mind” with Olli, “I Got Funk”, “Essential Funk” with Temu & “Keep Movin'” with XL Middleton.
He performed at many showcases around the world, in important events such as Modern Funk Fest & PopLock Funk in L.A. in 2019 & Atomik Funk Fest in Paris in 2018, and also in several and important street dance events such as Battle ISM in Taiwan in 2015 & 2017, Barcelona Funky Training in Spain in 2017 & 2018, The Week in Italy in 2016 and many others in Germany, Greece, South Korea & France.
For the past few years, Ivan Makvel has also worked as Mastering Engineer for artists such as XL Middleton, Howard Johnson, Moniquea, The APX, Mofak, Funkmaster Ozone, Jonny Tobin,... Read More ... Temu, B.Bravo, Lee Funksta, Gilbert Masuda, Maya Killtron, Kay Bee, Kzyboost, Olli, AAron Evo, Butter, Paradise Phantoms, Emcee Originate, Teddy Mike, Flamingo Cartel, Westcoast Stone, Ghost, DJ One Up, Shamis & Rebiere and many more, and records labels such as MoFunk Records, Voyage Funktastique Records, More Bounce Records (Wicked Wax Records), The Sleepers Recordz, Solo Gas Recordz, Love Touch Records, 2Tight Records and more.
The last of Ivan Makvel, named “A Family Affair” includes staple artists of the underground Modern Funk movement such as Temu, Mofak, XL Middleton, Moniquea, Funkmaster Ozone, Maya Killtron, Gil Masuda & Bougito.
The album ranges between different genres such as P-Funk, R&B, NuDisco, Boogie & Disco Funk.
