Harvey Scales (September 27, 1942 – February 11, 2019) was an American R&B singer, songwriter, and producer.
Born in Osceola, Arkansas and grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S. In 1961 he formed along with Albert James Vance. He has written songs for Dells, The Dramatics, The O'Jays etc. He recorded singles for Cuca Records, Stax, Cadet Concept Records and Magic Touch Records. He co-wrote "Disco Lady" along with Johnnie Taylor and Albert James Vance in 1976, becoming one of the songwriters that wrote the first platinum single in U.S.... Read More ... After this success, he was signed to Casablanca Records recording two solo albums in the late 70's produced by Melvin Griffin.
