| | American soul/blues vocalist. Son of the soul/blues singer . Began singing in church as a toddler. In his 20's, he joined his famous father on stage regularly, as a background singer and sometimes as a duet partner. He performed with his father from the mid-'70s until his father's death in 2000, then started his own solo career on the label, which was the same label that his father had recorded with from approximately 1984 - 2000.
