Songbird Caron Wheeler was part of the hard-working vocal group Afrodiziak before she hit the big time stepping into the vocal spotlight on Soul II Soul's international hit "Keep On Movin'." Like many British singers -- Lisa Stansfield, Mick Hucknall -- she draws much of her inspiration from American Soul of the '60s and '70s. But Wheeler's solo recordings also spill over with pop touches from Africa and the Caribbean, as well as western dance and hip-hop touches.
