| Drummer, percussionist, producer and record company executive born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Moved to Canada at a young age and grew up in Toronto. Began drumming at age 15, mainly self-taught. Started producing records in Canada at age 20 in 1969 beginning with 's first release. Hired as A&R for in 1970 and worked as in-house producer for Quality, creating their label. Moved to as head of A&R where he remained for 7 years, eventually becoming head of the Publishing Division. During that period he also worked as a studio drummer and toured with Gordon Lightfoot. In 1980 he left RCA to focus entirely on drumming.
