Under that name the bands music was sung in Danish, but in 1984 the band recorded a demo tape sung in English that led to a UK tour under the name "Johnny And The Demons". After hearing the band, in Denmark, Nico's manager passed the demo tape on to producer Martin Hannett of the Factory label fame who then contacted the band and produced the bands first album. In may 1986, prior the release of the album, the band changed it's name to Walk The Walk.
The album that was released was not the version finally mixed by Martin Hannett. In 2014, after 30 years, the album was released in Hannett's original mix, now under the name "Johnny And The Cold Demons" |
