| Chicago soul group which was active throughout the 1960s.
Began their recording career, in 1965, as a result of winning a talent contest sponsored by WVON.
Their prize was a recording contract with Satellite Records / St. Lawrence Records.
Subsequently, the band adopted the station's call letters into their name, and E. Rodney Jones, from the station, became the group's mentor.
They released 8 singles during their career, which spanned a total of two years (1965-1967).
Members were Kenneth Gholar, Jose Holmes, Bobby Newsome and Raymond Penn. |
