stanley unwin

Stanley Unwin (born June 7, 1911, Pretoria, South Africa – died January 12, 2002, Daventry, Northamptonshire, England) was a South African-born British comedian and comic writer and probably best known for inventing his own language "Unwinese". Unwinese was a special form of English in which only a few words were intelligible; this was enough to make the listener think he was being talked to - but without actually allowing him to understand the sentence concerned, the effect of which was to make the listener feel confused. Stanley Unwin appears on Discogs amongst others due to his contribution to the Small Faces "Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake" album, his 1994 collaboration with Wubble-U on the classic "Petal", some appearances on tracks by Suns Of Arqa.
