He graduated from in 1992. He was appointed Principal Saxophone of the London Sinfonietta in 1997. Member of The Will Gregory Moog Ensemble as EWI and keyboard player, and of the Graham Fitkin Band. As a soloist, Simon Haram performed with a number of orchestras, including , , , , and . He was Professor of Saxophone at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama for over 10 years.
