A pioneering Icelandic rap group from the capital city Reykjavík founded in 1996 by Hössi, Sölvi B, Ómar Swarez, and Steini a.k.a. Stoney, performing with lyrics in Icelandic and sometimes English and Danish, the group has seen a few changes to its formation over the years and also includes live band members when on stage.
Founded in 1996 by Hössi and Sölvi B together with famous Icelandic skater and graffiti artist Steini a.k.a. Stoney. Then joined by Ómar Swarez, the group went on to release their debut EP "Switchstance" as well as their self-titled debut the following year. Their sophomore effort "Xeneizes" followed two years later. In 2000 it was announced that the group would sign to Columbia with production being handled by Cypress Hill's DJ Muggs, and Brendan O'Brien. The third album "Jinx" was released in 2002 and was recorded in Reykjavík, New York City, and Los Angeles. That same year Quarashi composed the Soundtrack for a rendition of the play... Read More ... After 6 years and 4 albums with the group, Hössi decided to part ways with the group and was eventually replaced by Tiny. For live shows, Quarashi was joined by guitarist Smári "Tarfur" Jósepsson, bassist Gaukur Úlfarsson, and DJ Dice (later replaced by DJ Magic). 2004 saw the release of the groups' fifth studio album "Guerilla Disco". A year later the group released its greatest hits album "Anthology", which was followed by a 10-year hiatus. The group came back together, with Hössi rejoining the group, together they went on to release the single "Chicago" in 2016.
