Vocal ensemble, founded in Barcelona in 1987 by the Spanish conductor Jordi Savall, mostly devoted to the interpretation of music prior to the 18th century. It's composed exclusively of Latin voices.
Since 1990, the formation is sponsored by the Generalitat de Catalunya (regional government).
