Burundi-born Khadja Nin never thought she'd get the chance to sing. Raising a child in (then) Zaire with her husband, it wasn't until she moved to Europe and was struck by a number of tragedies, which included the death of her husband, that she began to pursue her childhood dream. Her first release (with collaborator Nicholas Fiszman) gained the attention of BMG, and she's developed her worldly Afro-pop in the decades since.
