Her Space Holiday is Marc Bianchi, a hard-working singer-songwriter and home-recordist who offers beautiful, even playful, sorts of innovative indie pop. Panned right-to-left synths reminiscent of the 1980s fuel stark, New Romantic by-way-of Techno songs with low-bit sampled beats and digital R&B (think Michael Jackson's "Rock With You"). Even his straightforward, guitar-driven Indie Rock is kinetic and expressive. Like those of Yo La Tengo, and more recently Brittle Stars, Bianchi's songs create more than their simple, enchanting progressions and single-note guitars do outright. It's easy to lose yourself in the blissful atmospherics of HSH's big, hollow droning and agitated, drum-machined rhythms.
