He began as a ticket seller for Dave Lambert's Phantasy rave in the late 80s, as well as DJing on the rave scene as DJ Steve. When the owners of Phantasy were arrested he asked them if he could use their name as his DJ name. Used to work at Lucky Spin record shop.
