DJ DNS was 13 years old when he started to collect and play hip-hop, break, funk and soul records. In the year of 1988 he saw a DMC video with DJs like Cash Money and All Star Fresh and realized that a turntable could do more then only playing records. From this moment on scratching and mixing became his first priority. In 1995 he met DJ PWB, who used turntable the same way. Together they worked on their scratching, back-spinning and trick-mixing skills and formed the DJ-crew SL Troopers in 1997 (originally DNS, PWB, Champ & Sopa). With this crew they performed throughout the whole country, i.e. with the Djax Breakbeat tour (1997). In the same year of 1997 DNS participates in a mixing contest, and earned himself a wildcard for the semi-finals for the DJ-battle Turntablized. Afther this he started to focus on the so called DJ-battles. He became a Turntablist and also won various DJ-battles like Turntablized (2000), the DMC Supremacy (2001) and the ITF Beatjuggle category (2003); and participated in the DMC Battle for the World Supremacy in 2001. At the same time the SL Trooperz won various DJ-battles in the team category (Dutch DMC champs 2000, 2001, 2002).

... at the DMC world finals in London. From this moment the SL Trooperz, in the new formation of DNS, DJ Daze, Chief and Savage, received at lot of bookings, i.e. they opened for DJ Premier in Paradiso Amsterdam. Next to the shows with the SL Trooperz and the DJ-battles, DNS also did Showcases and played at many shows throughout the country as well as abroad in cities like Prague, Frankfurt, London and Gent. At the same time DNS was involved in a hip-hop project named Classic, which made it to the 2000 finals of the Grote Prijs van Nederland.
After this project he took the direction of the production of mixtapes (Skratchtakular, Tablemanners, Shit is Bangin') and did scratches for several artists. In 2004 he is asked to DJ for a hip-hop project named Climax. With this project he performed at many shows like the Noorderslag festival and opened for the Black Eyed Peas and Mobb Deep. DNS also played (with DJ Daze) at the monthly Scratching in BED-event (BNN / Nieuwe Revu) in Hotel Arena Amsterdam. At this moment they also perform with the New Generation Bigband on a regular basis in Amsterdam and on festivals. Together they receive a lot of bookings as Turntable/scratch act where they play on various festivals (i.e Mysteryland) and clubs. Here they represent themselves in a Scratchtakular manner.
Together with DJ Daze he also starts the All Star Dj Academy, where they give dj lessons, workshops and Seminars With this academy DNS and Daze performed at various events the last couple of years. They did seminars/workshops (i.e Redbull music academy, SAE, DJ Expo, Johnnie Walker, Amsterdam dance event) at clubs, companies and schools; as well as shows for radio and Television (The Box, SBS 6, 3 FM, BNN). DNS also brings out a partyrockin concept together with djs Dejavu, Dizz & EZD which is named Shit is bangin'. Together they make mixtapes and play at all diffrent kinds of festivals and clubs.
