Dean Walker comes from the notoriously tough and uncompromising streets of Huyton in Liverpool - known locally as 2DOGS, those very streets are the roots behind his music. Dean is no stranger to controversy, he was stabbed in the throat and nearly killed in a fight at the age of 13, knows what the inside of a police cell looks like and after three separate attempts of trying to break the world record for consuming Tequila, in the process sacrificing his pancreas, he knows what intensive care is all about, even his debut video ‘Cliché’ was banned! “It’s in his genes if you know what I mean” his recent ancestors include a world champion boxer, 3 Italian tenors and a UK serial killer.
As well as performing Rock Dean’s vocal range allows him to sing opera and jazz. He sang the aria ‘Nessun Dorma’ at Liverpool football Club’s Anfield Stadium in England, at the memorial for the Hillsborough Tragedy, where Dean was present when 96 Liverpool football fans were killed, many from his home town of Huyton, Dean’s involvement in the disaster inspired him to write the beautifully moving song ‘Remember Us 3:14’.
