| | US soul/gospel/blues singer. Born 4th February, 1947 in Quincy, Florida. Began his singing career with gospel groups like The Gadsden Harmonizers, Faithful Five, Mighty Wonderers and The Gospel Keynotes. After touring with the latter group he settled down in California and set up his small label Sum-Ma Records and began to concentrate in secular r&b/soul. In the mid 80's he moved to Cleveland, Ohio and recorded an album as Charlie L. Jones. It was picked up by UK soul label Timeless Records. |
