The group continued to tour and record throughout 2005, dazzling Europe and appearing at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. After a scheduled trek through the States in the fall of that year, they returned to Quebec and a newly built studio in a former church, where they plotted their next musical instillation while fans bided time with a reissue of the rare early self-titled EP the Arcade Fire had released not all that long ago.
