Recorded May-June, 1988, at Carriage House Studios, Stamford, Connecticut
Digitally mastered at DigiPrep, Hollywood, California
All sounds on this recording were created solely by bells, bowls, cymbals, gongs and wind chimes. No electronic effects or synthesizers were used (although special microphone positioning techniques and tape manipulation were employed on The Empty Mirror and Crossing Tthe Line)
All compositions, except Spacelights (the basic tracks for which had been recorded previously in California) were recorded flat, meaning with no equalization of any kind. This recording was made on a 24 track Otari running at 30 i.p.s. The mix down was made to Sony PCM-F1 through an automated SSL console.
These microphones were strategically places in a slightly reverberant room: 2 Brüel & Kjær 4003, 2 AKG 414, 2 AKG 451, 2 Sennheiser 421, 2 Neumann U47, 2 Schoeps PZM, 1 AKG D12 , and 2 vintage RCA 44 (ribbon).
All compositions published by Vajra Music (ASCAP) except The Empty Mirror published by Vajra Music (ASCAP) and Mayflower Music Corp. (ASCAP)
All compositions are administered by Mayflower Music Corp.
