This work is dedicated to my mother,
who used to sing me these songs when I was little.
Giuni Russo

The musical suite "Napoli che canta" is the musical commentary for the homonymous film by Roberto Leone
Roberti (1926). The film was restored by Paolo Cherchi Usai for the George Eastman House
which I thank for the kind concession.

Thanks to Maestro Aurelio Fierro for finding the scores ... To Enrico Riccardi for the piano lent
in Sardinia for rehearsals. To Quinto Zizi, antenna engineer from Aglientu for providing us with the technical apparatus in Sardinia.
