Bill was a pitcher for The Detroit Tigers, appearing in only 42 games. The song is included on Rhino Records' CD "Baseball's Greatest Hits." Ernie Harwell was a Detroit Tigers broadcaster. The release #714 is the number of home runs Babe Ruth hit in his career. Hank "Henry" Aaron broke the record and ended up with 755 home runs.
