Dick Marx lived in Chicago, Illinois. He was a great pianist and advertising jingle composer. In the 1950s, he played piano with the David Carroll orchestra on Mercury Records. He played piano on the sessions that produced such hits as "Sh-Boom" for the Crew Cuts and "Little Darlin'" for the Diamonds. Marx was a prolific composer of advertising jingles. He was the father of rock star Richard Marx. He also played jazz with various combos. In addition to this very rare record, you get a CD conversion of some of the advertising jingles and music by Dick Marx.
