Llevatela 5:30. **NOTE: Formed in New York by a number of musicians from Ray Barretto‘s band, the Cuban charanga and salsa band, Tipica 73, enjoyed great success in the 1970s and 1980s. (The term típica refers to the “typical” configuration of a Cuban charanga with violin, and 73 to the year of founding the group). The legendary band is notable for for its experimental style and being the first US-based salsa orchestra to record in Cuba– the result of which was the album “Típica 73 En Cuba Intercambio Cultural.” At the time, Tipica 73 featured several salsa musicians who would go on to become famous as solo artists, including vocalist José “El Canario” Alberto and violinist Alfredo de la Fé. In the nascent and thriving New York Latin jazz and salsa scene in the early 1970s, the group began with Johnny “Dandy” Rodriguez Jr and four of Ray Barretto‘s original band including Adalberto Santiago (who all left Barretto simultaneously to start Tipica 73 in 1972), and, after combining the conjunto percussive style (congas, timbales, and bongos) with a horn section the band became one of the biggest stars of the salsa movement in the US. However, the band’s lineup ended up with an almost different cast by the start of the following decade, with several of the original members having left after differences in the late 1970s, and Santiago and three others leaving to form Los Kimbos. Rodriguez Jr was the only constant in the band, and he and remaining members would split in 1982, but not without a tribute to the charanga style, the 1980 release “Charangueando con la Tipica 73“, which included standout versions of Tito Puentes’ ”A Donde Vas” and Cachao’s “Chanchullo,” In 1995, Tipica 73 reunited for a successful concert in Puerto Rico, which led to a series of shows four years later.

Mint (M) Looks absolutely perfect in every way. Almost certainly has never been played, possibly even still sealed.
Near Mint (NM) A nearly perfect record. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. The LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits or other noticeable similar defects. No cut-out holes, either unless it was a promotional or discontinued item. Very Good Plus Plus (VG++) A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or seam splits. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. Very Good Plus (VG+) Many of the defects found in a VG++ record will be more pronounced in a VG+ disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) but will not affect the overall sound or play. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them.
I sell nothing below VG (may have some noise - UNLESS IT'S VERY COLLECTABLE AT ANY GRADE) Few and Minor superficial hairline scratches that do not interfere with play, sound (may have some noise) or recording quality are graded as VG or better. I will not sell anything that I myself would not buy. I do not sell LP's which do not play to my satisfaction. Those LP's, I prefer to give away as a "Freebie" to my customers. I PERSONALLY "TEST PLAY" all "HIGH END" Records that I sell prior to listing the LP. I'm lucky enough to have the time to play them. So believe me, when I say the LP plays great, IT PLAYS GREAT!!! If in doubt, please ask before ordering!

Seller Information
My name is Izzy and I ONLY SELL ORIGINAL LP'S. As you can see, much of my collection is expensive. I do not sell cheap because these are my LP's from my many years of collection and love for Latin music. And since I know how difficult finding original Latin LP's is in foreign countries, I want to take my Latin LP's overseas, I need to make the prices "Less desirable" here in the USA so that overseas buyers could have the opportunity to purchase them even at these high prices. At least they are available. If I sold them cheaper, I'm sure they would sell and remain here in the USA. And not reach our Latin music lovers across the seas. I enjoy selling and dealing with the serious collectors. Again, If I wanted to sell my collection sooner, I would have had lower prices. But since I really don't need the money, and in no great pain to get rid of my LP's, I will wait for those who are willing to pay premium prices for original Hi End, rare records. I ship orders immediately after payment is received. Please note that I will only mail orders to your PayPal Verified Address ONLY. No If's, And's or But's. I will not relinquish my Sellers Protection for anyone.
