MusicStack has partnered with a vinyl to CD conversion service who will convert the LP to recordable CD for you. It will sound great with no annoying clicks, pops or background noise. All recordable CDs come in a standard jewel case with artwork printed on glossy paper.
How does this service work?
The seller will ship the LP to the digital conversion center in Arizona, USA where it will be format shifted onto a recordable CD directly from the LP only for your ears. The LP and the recordable CD will then be mailed to you. The digital conversion center will not retain any copies of the item.
What does it cost?
Price of the LP + $35 USD for the conversion to recordable CD + cost of shipping of the LP to Arizona + cost of shipping of the LP from Arizona to your location paid in advance.
Nice copy of this wonderful prog rarity. The Direct To Disc process was when a band would record an entire album side live in the studio (no overdubs) and directly master it for better sound. This is one amazing sounding prog record--two side-long suites that are really creative and musically charged, and yuou'll be amazed by the variety three guys were able to put into it without overdubs. This is nothing like thier other albums--much more progressive and challenging. There is some wonderful vioin and some tremendous electronics here too. It's also the only album I know to use a "brain wave" as a musical instrument. This is one of the great late-70s prog albums, a must own, and has not been reissued on CD. As I understand it, this album was issued three times, the third as "Headroom." This is the second pressing. All were limited editions. LP plays clean. The gatefold cover is a strong VG++ with just some minor ringwear on the back.
Below is my basic grading scale. I will also describe specifics of the gradings in the listings. SS Still Sealed Never opened. And flaws will be described in the listing.
M- Mint Minus Has been opened, but is still essentially flawless with no damage whatsoever. EX Excellent A clean record. Plays like new but may not look as perfect as a M- record. Cover may have very superficial wear. My EX (particularly on the vinyl) is like most sellers' M-. VG++ Very Good Plus Plus A record that plays mostly clean with perhaps a few spots of light noise. Cover may have minor wear (bit of ringwear, a name written on cover or label, minor fraying at edges, etc.) Records at this level are generally good enough copies for collectors who are not mint freaks. VG+ Very Good Plus Vinyl: A record that plays with a minor amount of noise. Cover shows signs of normal wear: may be taped, have a seam split, ringwear, etc... Not bad, but not ideal either. VG Very Good Vinyl: May crackle, pop or make other annoying noises, but is not louder than the music. Will not skip. Cover: Has cover wear such as ring wear and split seams, writing, maybe some minor tears. Similar wear to VG+ but more of it. VG- Very Good Minus Generally not a good copy of an LP, one only worth buying for rare records. Surface noise throughout, maybe even a skip or two. Cover is well worn in many ways. P Poor Trashed.
