Conditions and Grading

Grading is very subjectiv and depends sellers experiences and methods.
Before to buy or not to buy don't miss details in items descritions. I spend a long time cleaning, grading and reporting anything i see or hear
After a professional cleaning I look at everything about a record : its labels, its edges, Its playing surface, run-in and dead wax ...under a strong light. Then based on my overall impression i play it (most from start to end, a few at random only) i give it a grade based on "Goldmine Standard" detailing the following criteria: Overall grade or ' Vinyl, Label, and Sound ' or ' RECORD/COVER ' if any.

PICTURE SLEEVE ONLY WHEN IT'S CLEARLY MENTIONED (PS)

Higher quality collectible items :
. M or LM : (10 on 10) MINT or LIKE MINT Still sealed or Absolutely free of any signs of wear !
- vinyl : perfect in all way
- label : perfect
- play/sound : perfect
. NM : (9) NEAR MINT - looks/sounds like a brand new item !
- vinyl : closest to perfect
- label : closest to perfect
- play/sound : closest to perfect
. EX : (8) EXCELLENT : Same as abobe but for bare very light signs of wear detected
- vinyl : Glossy with unnoticeable play-wear
- label : Clean with minor storage wear or NM/M but for sold-out stamp or b/b hole
- play/sound : perfect play, few very light statics
. EX- or VG++ : (7) NEAR EXCELLENT, and ,
- vinyl : looks great, has very light surface wear or scuffins
- label : looks clean with unnoticeable ring or damage
- play/sound : plays OK, sounds great with very light backgrounds
- Enjoyable items, can file in a collection :
Average quality gradings :
. VG+ : (6) VERY VERY GOOD + : light damage/wear/scuffs or noices
- vinyl : very nice, has light surface wear or scuffs
- label : looks nice, may have small writings/ring/sticker, but still totaly or more than 95% legible
- play/sound : plays thru OK, sounds fine with light backgrounds
. VG : (5) USED STILL VERY GOOD record w/ evident signs it has been played/handled but still plays OK and sounds as well as expected from a used record, label may have writings/ring/sticker or little damage but stays mostly legible. Can file in a Juke box or in any collection in the wait of a better copy.
lesser than average grades, for listning or display only :
. VG- or G+ : (4) NEARLY VERY GOOD : wear/damages/noices are a more obvious, label lost a bit of its legibility. Plays OK with evident noices/hiss/crackles but still listenable and should not have any skip. Can file in a Juke box in most of cases.
. G : (3) Still GOOD : Worn record with label having more than 70% legibility OK. Vinyl may be warped or have scratches and/or small edge chips or edge crack but still plays thru with background noices and/or hissing. Can file and sound better in a Juke box in many cases.
Lower grades : forget it ! unless it is very hard to find or unafordable in better shape
. F : (1 to 2 /10) FAIR : Worn record beeing only partialy playable or earable, more than 25% of label's legibility is alterated. Scarce oneq file any collection in wait of a better copy, others for affixe on a wall, recycle of whatever other use uou'ld find !
. P : (0 to 1 / 10) POOR trashed and/or well cracked or warped unplayable vinyl, label is missing, largely torn and/or not legible.
I usualy get rid of F and P items. Most of ones i still list are aviable for few cents and can be added for free if wanted in addition to any orders !

. a '/' without space separates sides 1 and 2 whereas a double slash '' or ' / ' single with spaces separates record & sleeve (or cover)
. remember we scan show the worst side of the label - or the front of the cover/sleeve if any
Sings & Abreviations :
. (+) or strg = Strong (used with grades when not enought for a full + . I.E. : VG(+) means upper VG but not realy VG+
. (-) : weak (used with grades when not enought for a -
i.e : EX(+) or NM(-) are meaning the same : halfway from Excellent to Near Mint - VG++/() means one side is great, the other only VG
. #ol number on label (often a year, date or chart pos.)
. b/w : backed with
. bbh or coh : back to back (or cut out) hole (items over producted, returned from stocks)
. Flex : flexible
. lol : letter (or small initials) on label (LOL if large or in marker)
. lt ltl or sm. : little, small
. na : not applicable
. NAP : not affecting the play
. rol : ring wear on label - roc : ring wear on cover (ROL / ROC if obvious)
. rov : ring on vinyl (often due to Juke box play)
. rsol : removed sticker, shade, trace, residue or glue on label - rsoc : same on cover
. rstol : removed sticker tear or damage on label - rtsoc : same on cover
. s&s : scuffs and/or scratches on wax (S&S when obvious, S&s if medium)
. sl. or slt : slight
. sm. small or minor
. sol : sticker on label - soc : sticker on cover (SOL / SOC if large)
. sow : signs of wear
. stpol : stamp on label - stpoc stamp on cover
. tol : Tear on label - toc : tear on cover (TOL TOC if large)
. w/ : with - w/o : without
. wdol : water damage or discoloration on label - wdoc : same on cover
. wmol : marker on label - wmoc : marker on cover
. wol : writing on label - woc : writing on cover
. wrp : warp of dish
. Xol : X penned on label (XOL = X in marker)

we try to abbreviate smaller flaws with lowercase letters, more evident ones in uppercase especialy for the 'Visual grade only' records.

Return Policy

REFUND IF NOT SATISFIED! If item(s) received does not have the description which was made by it, I commit myself refunding whole or part of the transaction (except forwarding costs). The reception of the parcel must be confirmed, and refunding inquiries must be effective without delay Refunding can require the return of the litigious articles. This engagement excludes problems involved in the delivery if not insured. The choice of the shipping option is offered and it's your responsability to opt for tracking/registered services or not.
