Gothic/Visual Kei band from Japan. Formed by vocalist Yukari in May 1991, they went on hiatus after all members except Yukari and guitarist Akane left in January 1996. New members were recruited in 1997, but in the meantime Akane was forced to leave due to his father's illness.
The new lineup debuted in September 1997 with a lighter style and more pop/rock oriented tunes. Baiser had their major debut in May 1998 after signing a contract with For-Tune Records (branch label of Sony Music Entertainment).
Baiser's activities were paused in 2000 when Yukari released a couple of solo EP's, and the other members (except guitarist Mizuki) started playing live as a unit called Swallowtail.
The official disbandment announcement was published on January 5th, 2001.
