German NDW band from Berlin
The band name refers to 's book "Der Futurologische Kongress" (1971, german translation 1974)
They formed from the core of the trio Trio Heyder-Wastel-Tröndle in 1981 and self-published their debut "Posthum". After winning a band contest, their winning title "Heimatlied" was pressed as price of the competition. After getting broadcasted in TV by , the band was signed by Teldec and released via . During 1982 the band grew up to 13 musicians. They recorded and released 2 albums and a couple of singles till 1984, their third LP stayed unreleased due to disputes in the band. The band disbanded 1984 till 1992 and reunited as "Futurologen" to release a new LP "Feuer.
