Given to difficult explorations of even more difficult material (see the title of the album) Time* Sex* Love* is not the sort of record you're going to hear on young country radio but it is nevertheless a triumph for the singer-songwriter. After a 4 year hiatus, Carpenter has come back with one of her best efforts, in terms of both material and sound.
