Review
On his fifth solo album, the venerable ladies man returns with another strong collection of late-night balladry and mood-setting romantic anthems. Back II Da Basics also finds him working with more outside producers, including Jazze Pha, TrackMasters and Troy Oliver. Check out the lead single "When We Make Love" and the jumpy, Neptunes-esque "Secrets.
