Review
Benson always promised to collaborate with Count Basie, but didn't get to record with his band until the true King of Swing was long gone. This album isn't as exciting as it should have been, mainly because Benson's guitar works better with the band than his too-frequent vocal contributions -- he's a great singer, but his soul style doesn't quite mesh with the swing band.
