Review
This compiles two LPs that the Crusaders cut for Motown in the early 1970s. The first half showcases the band's funky soul-jazz and hard bop roots while the second half has them starting to transition into a jazzy funk band with thick grooves dominating. Either way you win: Joe Sample's (keyboards), Wilton Felder (sax) and Wayne Henderson (trombone) are all on fire.
