Review
Perhaps his best album of the 1960s, Baby Breeze finds Baker embracing Hard Bop and swinging tough while keeping his trademark Cool. Baker's horn playing here is strong enough to silence his critics, and there are also enough tender ballads and dreamy vocals to please even casual jazz fans. Strong contributions from Phil Urso, Bobby Scott, and Kenny Burrell.
