Part of the Haitian roots music movement along with Boukman Eksperyans, Rara Machine incorporate carnival and voodoo rhythms into a popular dance music. With a nod to Antillean Zouk, they bring in a female chorus and keyboards to soften the relentless drumming and percussion.
