Marco Beltrami (b. 7th Oct 1966, New York) is an American film composer and conductor of Italian and Greek heritage who has produced music for many Hollywood blockbusters since the mid-90s. As a long-time 's collaborator, Beltrami scored seven of his films, including the Scream franchise. He also repeatedly worked with other notable international filmmakers, including , , , and . Beltrami graduated from and further studied at . After relocating to Los Angeles, Marco continued his formal education at under . The composer debuted in the mid-90s and reached a mainstream breakthrough by 1996 when he composed music for Wes Craven's iconic slasher Scream.
