Belying New York's hardscrabble reputation are the rock-steady-meets-soft-rock sounds of the Bossa Nova Beatniks. No Bossa Nova nor Beatnik inclinations though: it's just warm, sunny, feel-good guitar strumming, light rock-steady rhythms and breathy vocal melodies. If there was another Fletch movie shot in the Bahamas, this could be playing during the intro when Chevy Chase gets off the plane.
