Project Pitchfork's music is austere, foreboding and gloomy. Despite all that, it's also wildly popular, at least in Germany. The duo of Peter Spilles and Dirk Scheuber hit the European charts as early as 1994 with Io and since then they have reliably placed records in Germany's Top-40. Aficionados of the remix, they've collaborated with everyone from Front 242 to Apoptygma Berzerk to Gary Numan.
