Born on 07.06.1948 in New York City to parents from Rincón, Puerto Rico.
Since 1967, she has released 20 internationally acclaimed albums.
She initiated her career in the arts at a very young age while living in New York. After completing high school she enrolled in the New York School of Performing Arts in singing, dancing, and acting classes.
