Kiddo was a P-Funk offspring group at A&M Records formed by former Parliament - Funkadelic guitarist Michael Hampton and writer Donnie Sterling in the early '80s. They recorded 2 albums for A&M Records. Before they were signed, the group called themselves "Donnie Sterling & Above and Beyond". They were managed by David Libert and later by Don Butler. Jheryl Busby started to promote Kiddo after they signed to A&M. The band also signed to Norby Walters Associates for tours on the same concert bill with George Clinton and his p-funk army, and for an appearance on Don Cornelius' Soul Train tv show series when their single "Try My Lovin' was released.
