US-American pianist, conductor and film score composer (born 9th April 1919 in Philadelphia, PA, USA; died 14th November 1990 in Manhattan, NY, USA). Kaplan was under contract at MGM and at 20th Century Fox. He wrote music for dozens of films including the 1953 films Titanic and Niagara.
