Formula 3 is an Italian prog-rock band initially active from '69-74, and again from 1990-present. The group was founded in 1969 and was originally made up of Alberto Radius (guitars and vocals), Tony Cicco (drums and vocals) and Gabriele Lorenzi (keyboards). The group disbanded in 1974. The band was reunited in 1990 with the original line.
In 1992 Gabriele Lorenzi left the band and was replaced by Andrea Pistilli (1992-94), then Maurizio Metals and now, Ciro Di Bitonto.
