Kiddo was a P-Funk offspring group at A&M Records formed by former Parliament - Funkadelic guitarist Michael Hampton and writer Donnie Sterling in the early '80s. They recorded 2 albums for A&M Records.
Before they were signed, the group called themselves "Donnie Sterling & Above and Beyond". They were managed by David Libert and later by Don Butler. Jheryl Busby started to promote Kiddo after they signed to A&M. The band also signed to Norby Walters Associates for tours on the same concert bill with George Clinton and his p-funk army, and for an appearance on Don Cornelius' Soul Train tv show series when their single "Try My Lovin' was released.

Around 1988, their manager Don Butler reunited the group with six members, including Donnie Sterling, Arthur Brown, Leroy Davis, a female artist and two other members. They performed in Japan and also planned to tour the USA around October 1988.
