Legendary norteno musician Cornelio Reyna also played the bajo sexto guitar, but he'll be remembered primarily as a singer and composer. He started with accordionist Ramon Ayala in Los Relampagos Del Norte, an influential conjunto in the '60s. By the '70s he was hugely popular on both sides of the Mexico-U.S border for his sentimental songs of suffering.
