Formed in Los Angeles by songwriter Gregg Alexander, the New Radicals' brand of retro-leaning, blue-eyed soul made a dark horse run at the charts in the late-1990s with the surprise hit, "You Get What You Give." Surprisingly, Alexander dissolved the band after the one hit to concentrate on writing and producing music for other artists, scoring big with songwriting and production credits on U.K. heartthrob Ronan Keating's Destination album.
