Part of The Basement Boys until the early 2000s when he established his own group, DJ Spen & The MuthaFunkaz, and label, Code Red Recordings, which was active between 2004 and 2011. Runs Quantize Recordings with his wife, Kelly Tribble Spencer, and former Basement Boys collaborator Thomas Davis. Not to be confused with Dwayne "Spen" Richardson.
