Hailing from a musical family, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rapone is the brother of world famous Zydeco artist Queen Ida. He worked for many years as her lead guitarist and bandleader before striking out on his own. Fronting his own band and playing the diatonic accordion, Rapone has a sound that veers easily between sprightly French language Cajun two-steps and Zydeco with a heavy blues undercurrent.
