Argentina's first reggae band started out as a cover band, playing classics by Bob Marley and Peter Tosh but their innate creativity won out: in 1988 Los Pericos released their self-titled debut. By the early '90s, the group was being recognized both at home and abroad: they were invited to play in the Reggae Sunsplash in Jamaica and had also become a top-selling act in Argentina, Venezuela and Chile. Nearly two decades later, the group is still going strong.
