Los Saicos has come to be considered one of the most original and influential Latin American bands of the 1960s.
At that time, the groups tried to imitate the style of British groups and sing in English. However, Los Saicos didn´t follow that line, they decided to sing their own compositions in Spanish and made a unique style.
In the summer of 1960; , and met in a rock and roll gang from Lince, called Los Cometas; brought (who played with , leader of Los ) and they began to meet at his house to listen to songs.. One of his first presentations was at the end of 1964, at the famous Boite del Centro Histórico de Lima, his first television appearance was on Guido Monteverde's program on the old Channel 9, interpreting the song "Come on".
