Although Gavin Froome comes from the Vancouver scene, his deep tech-house sound looks wistfully toward the San Francisco scene. Stealthily moving from Deep House stylings to minimal Techno akin to the early work of Laurent Garnier, Froome sabotages your consciousness slowly, like an after-dinner indulgence in a short glass of grappa. A watery jazz influence slips in and out of the late night mix under the loose supervision of transparent synths, while gently funky beats press past disappearing bluesy melodies on these headphone tracks made for two. Slide these slinky cuts in between Groove Armada and Deep Dish to set the mood at a woozy state of bliss.
