The Vienna-based duo Vlado dZihann and Mario Kamien translate their diverse heritages by crossing ethnic boundries with such concepts as Arabic strings mixed with Funk, jazz, and House. Multigenre artists such as D&K are hard to categorize without simply being tossed into the broad world genre, however what keeps them away from such grouping is their European electronic vibe (a la Jazzanova and Kid Loco). Their well-received debut, Freaks and Icons, hit the streets in 2000 and was remixed by such House artists as Herbert, Fauna Flash, and Atjazz a year later.
