One of several late '80s groups to meld British pop sensibilities with the kind of beats and samples more often heard in dance clubs, Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine also threw some satire and a dash of political engagement into their Postmodern stew. They've continued making groovy, startling music throughout the '90s.
